Application: Napper machine

Problem: This machine takes fabric, such as fleece, and makes it softer. The bull gear was mounted with the traditional key and setscrew. Several times throughout each day, the gear would loosen and start walking on the shaft. The keyway was badly wallowed.

Solution: Trantorque GT Keyless Bushing. The mechanical shrink fit provides a 360 degree clamping on the shaft resisting shock, vibration and torque reversals. It eliminates backlash, key wallowing and fretting corrosion associated with a keyed mount. It can be mounted directly over empty keyways to repair a damaged connection.
